Mizen to Malin in a Wheelchair

Sixty-two year old Mary Laver from the UK is planning to traverse from Mizen Head to Malin Head in a power wheelchair in April 2010.

Mary previously drove her wheelchair from Lands End to John O'Groats, a distance of approximately 1,000 miles, between 18 July - 2 August 2009.

It will require a lot of physical and mental effort as Mary must push a control stick forward for 40 miles per day while being bumped around all the time.

UltraRunning Ireland has already supplied her with detailed maps and directions for the route.
