Please note: Athletics Ireland will be responsible for Irish championships post April 2012. To date, the hosting of national and international competitions in Ireland (such as the 2011 Trail World Championships) and the funding and sponsorship of Irish athletes for international competition has only been made possible via substantial private financing from Polar Running Adventures, operated by Richard Donovan.
