UltraRunning Ireland is the member federation of the International Association of Ultra Runners.
UltraRunning Ireland (URI) operates a Race Event Licence system to ensure international standards in the operation of ultra running events. A URI Licence is necessary to obtain an International Association of Ultra Runners (IAU) Label and is the only means to ensure that performances can be recognised, both nationally and internationally, including for record purposes and competition selection.
UltraRunning Ireland encourages all standard distance events in particular to apply for a URI Licence and to obtain an IAU label for their race .
