A 48-hour running specialist, Tony currently holds the official world indoor record for the distance with an amazing 426.178 km (264.81 miles). Tony set this indoor mark when he won a top international race in Brno, Czech Republic in 2007. He followed up by also setting a world 48-hour treadmill running record in 2008. Before moving up to 48 hours in earnest, Tony finished 16th at the 2006 World 24-Hour Chanpionships in Taiwan when he ran 228.3 km (141.85 miles). He has set various Irish records from 100 miles to 48 hours over the past decade as well as several world treadmill running records.
